I wonder if at game start the arrows on either side are supposed to cycle together and then stop on the same row. So then the player tries to light that row of numbers for a greater payout? Would be a fun feature if that's the case and then suddenly a ball goes in the pocket that cycles the arrows down. Could be good or bad if that lower row is already completed or if the row you were on is about to be completed. Would make that same pocket something to shoot for or avoid.

Woo Hoo! You were right emmadog!
I completed a horizontal row that was bracketed by lit arrows and it made the whole board light up,
    it was worth 5 coins

Now THAT is cool. Has to be one of the coolest features I've seen yet on any machine. I have a machine that functions sorta similarly in that at game start the bonus possibilities cycle on the sides of the matrix during play. If a completion is made the bonus lights stop cycling and you get whatever they stopped on which could be nothing, a payout of one, 2 numbers lit, 4 numbers lit.
Anyway, what happens if u lite a row with just one arrow lit?
Sent your instructions out and I usually hear back in about a day.

Thats very cool to hearI had no idea what to expect, and the results are fantastic

Your machine you mention is the 'Magic Neon" correct?
That is one awesome machine!,I researched it before going to pick this one up because they had similar center features

In a little while I'll make a video of the machine hitting its bonus feature and post it
Thanks again for all your help and info

Yep, it's the magic neon. There's at least 4 variants of that particular machine of which I have two.
No problem on the help-Its cool figuring these things out and especially thanks for the vids. Not near enough vids of all the arrangeball machines that this group has.

I agree with you, videos rule

speaking of..., here is a very short one of the machine paying out a bonus jackpot (is that the right terminology?)I use the upper pocket to line up the arrows on line "B" (looks like it advances twice with one ball) and then light up the row,
its not very long and I think it would have more impact without the row "c" lights being on(and perhaps some kind of sound effects),but you get the idea

next on the agenda is figuring out whats up with row "C" ,If I/we can't, I'll hire an expert for that

    to be continued...

Cool vid. So how does a ball in the bonus pocket advance the arrow? Does it advance either one randomly or does it advance the lower one up to meet the other one?
What happens if a second ball goes in that bonus pocket during the same game?
For row C, it could be a bad connection. I'd turn off the machine and pull all the connectors from all locations. Check for dirt and plug them back in. If the chips on the board are in sockets and not soldered on you can do the same thing very carefully so as not to bend the pins these couple of procedures are frequently all that's wrong.

Congratulations Derek - couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Of course, I am insanely jealous.

Those of us with a decent amount of age on our clocks will recognise the 'Magic Lines' idea from our days playing Bingo machines from the 50's/60's.
Exact same idea of a cycling line, when lit, producing bonus points/coins/medals when completed. Seems our Japanese friends had a keen eye or two turned West back then.

So glad you got one of these to 'complete' the line-up (it's never really complete, is it)... I look forward to playing this with you one day Stateside.
There is always another machine around the corner...

Can we get some better pics of the Model C machine? I mean the arrangeball is cool but I'd also like to see some pics of the other machine.

Congrats on getting the arrangeball fully working.

I looks like the right arrow advances randomly but not the left

once the bonus jackpot occurs and it lights up the board, play is suspended until you cash out and start over,
Also,It only pays out the 5 coins it will not honor previously completed rows within that round of play

so far I've disconnected and cleaned the light board, and main board and reattached them with no difference, but tomorrow I will be able to do a more thorough cleaning and hopefully it will help

Thanks for the kind words Jon!
And I hope your situation has improved!
and, of course your correct about there always being another desirable machine jeez!

And I hate to burst any bubbles, but other than being really dirty on the surface, the model C works wonderfully and the cell is in really beautiful condition,
so its (for the time being) going to be keeper
But, on the plus side, you should be busy with a new single shot very soon, at least for a short time

    your wish is my command
    alligator.jpgback.jpgcell 1.jpgcenter feature 1.jpgframe.jpgfront trays.jpgnishijin duck.jpgnishijin seagull.jpg

its a monkey parachuting out of an airplane and he's headed toward the gaping maw of a hungry alligator, ( probably hopes to land parachute first)
there are four holes beneath the monkey for the balls to go through, they open various tulips (including the alligators mouth) depending on which one they fall in,

I've heard about alligator/monkey stories appearing on at least one other machine, are they based off an old folktale or something?

What I shoulda stated more clearly was once a ball goes in and the arrows align, what happens if another ball goes in before the row is completed?
Thx for answering all the questions. And, I'd that a pachinko palace sticker in the lower left?

If another ball goes in,the right arrow shifts it position into a new place ( so you can mess your bonus up by getting it in at the wrong time)
And yes, both of the machine have the pachinko palace sticker as well as a nishijin hanemono called trapeze that I got a while back on eBay

Were they based in California ? Or perhaps here in Texas?
