Default We bought a house and we found this in our basement!

"We bought a house and we found this in our basement!" Yes, that was the voice mail I got the other day from a stranger. I was just talking to "Card Shark" that I've been playing with pachinkos for 2 months (and humbly don't know much) and I'm the professional on Pachinko machines in Omaha, Ne! Yeah right!

So I go over to this ladies new house (that was probably built in the 50's) and down in her basement someone has very well installed a pachinko machine in her wall. It's a cool one! Any one know the story on it? Year? Model? Ect?

Well, she doesn't have the key for it but I know it has a ton of balls inside of it! I guess there is a lot of ways to go about this, but I told her to have her husband CAREFULLY cut it out with a zaw-saw (it's got to be nailed in around the sides), get it to me so I can fix it up, disable the lock and put a latch on the front which will attach to the wall. Either that or I could put in a different lock...which wouldn't be too bad.

Well here she is! She wants to keep it for her kids, which I thought was awesome! I have to get the lights and such working on it for sure! Another pachinko saved in Nebraska!

Yea, if they pull the trim from around it, might be able to get a saw blade in there and cut whatever's holding it in the wall. Shame there's no key, it's a nice installation.

I really like the playfield pattern on that thing! Neat machine.

Is it too far across the wall that you can't reach in and undo the latch from behind and open it?

Yes...it doesn't look too bad from the picture, but it would almost be impossible to crawl back there and get to it. That picture is my arm extended behind the way and zoomed in. It's about 6 feet deep in from behind this concrete wall.

Shouldn't be too tough for a guy to cut it out if he has a saw-zaw.

Ahha! I was think just that. Perhaps if the latch is a tad longer than and arm's length away, I'd suggest grabbin' a crowbar to catch the latch and pop it open.
