Default 1971-1977 Gottlieb Score reset sequence animation

This is another animation I recently made.
It is a technical demonstration of the score reel reset sequence of 1971-1977 Gottlieb 4 player pinball machines. It is often the case that people buy these games and take them home... or had them for a while and develop problems.
This will hopefully answer why a person pushes the start (replay) button to begin a game and the timing unit, known as the "score motor" which is located in the cabinet will perpetually just keep rotating and never stop which makes the game inoperative... Or why a score reel just keeps spinning around and around. It is often the case a problem exists in the score reel reset circuits which I attempt to explain here in a more graphical way.

I hope this will be entertaining for people who already are familiar with the sequence, and an aid for those who are unfamiliar. Either way maybe this can help keep these wonderful machines around for future generations to enjoy.

WHY... oh why didn't you do this about 8 months ago...

Having spent about 10 consecutive Sundays last summer cleaning and gapping leaf switches... replacing weak solenoids... fixing wires... ...after a niece reached under the row of solenoids and knocked all the armatures out of whack (on a 1964 World Fair).

It was, of course, just the armatures om the start and reset relays. And, of course, I saved those for last... so it was mind-meltingly hard and unrewarding until that last weekend. Even with the schematics... which I could read... i thought... but its just so much "spaghetti"... whirling, twirling, switching, spaghetti.

But... now it works even better than before, and I worked in the "no coins necessary" mod.

Anyhoo... bookmarked. I'll never get rid of that machine, so I may need this some day. I hope I don't, though.

Hmm... on the upside, it was my headaches with that Gottlieb that circuitously led me to pachinko machines a month or two later... so no big whoop.
    Woof!
