Default Very Old 1 That Needs Restored

I bought this a while back. Can someone please tell me a bit about it? How old is it? It needs restored. I've cleaned a few machines before but never really torn one apart. The laminate (?) backing on the playfield has come unglued. Looks like a major job getting to it to re-glue it. Any advice? _DSC6368 low.jpg_DSC6369 low.jpg_DSC6374 low.jpg

Nice single shot. If I remember how to determine age correctly, I believe it is a '71. Don't put too much stock in that though. I am sure someone will come along who can give you a more accurate date.

If it were mine, I would say that machine needs the cel replaced. I know it sounds like a daunting task but there are several members here who are great at it and can off advice.

Congratulations on a really cool machine and Welcome to PachiTalk!

_DSC6411 low.jpg I forgot to add a picture of the container full of pachinko balls that came with the machine. Do you think they originally came with the machine?

    First off to Pachitalk!

That is a nice single shot you have there.

I see where you got that idea (you saw the 47 on the plate) but that date is way off as the single shot machines weren't built after 1969. The machine you have pictured above is a 50's machine. I'm not sure of exact build date but I want to say it might be 1950-51. The only reason why I would put the date at early 50's is because the back has a lot of metal components, in the mid 50's they started to use a little more plastic.

It is a very interesting machine because of how plain it is on the front. I think it is kinda odd to have a solid silver background. You will have to replace the background because once they start to peel it won't be long till they start to flake apart. You first cell replacement is always the hardest but it gets easier. It isn't too hard to do just really time consuming.

The balls you have pictured were imported at the same time as the machine. Cool container someone found for them. I have quite a few balls from the late 40's to early 50's. None of which I would ever put through a machine though. I'd buy some new balls fo the machine, they aren't that expensive and they won't damage the machine as quickly.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.
