    Default Donated pachi's go big!

If you ever get the opportunity to give a little back to the community, by all means please do. I donated this pair of pachi's to the Phoenix Boy's & Girls club at the end of December and they finally went to auction. The 3 Comics went for $296 and the Chinaman went for $250! Hopefully the new owners will find their way here.

Over the last five years we have donated over 15 modern Pachinkos and Pachislos and collector quality pinball machines to a local charity for teen suicide prevention. They have netted over 25 K which shows that people are still interested in our hobbies. Karma to those who donate.

I need to acknowlege some assistance with this. I rushed to get these ready and Paul/Subdude stepped up and added battery packs to these for me for the lighting. Thanks Paul!

    I am impressed, Scott!

I have donated several reconditioned machines for charitable causes in the past, and have always derived a great feeling of enjoyment knowing that they would be helping a group or organization in some way. Your story serves as a reminder to me that I have many "surplus" Pachinko machines in my garage just waiting for attention, so as soon as my work "busy season" slows down a bit, I will pull one of those machines off the shelf, recondition it, then follow your lead and donate it to my local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club.

Thanks for sharing your story about this and providing me with a reminder.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
