I have been testing and testing the machine. Everything is working perfectly. Now I need to make a bracket to mount the "Win" sensor permanently and then run the wires better.

Think a ground wire from the negative side of the female, GAKU, power terminal to a screw on your power strip would solve the feed back issues. You could test this with a wire and alligator clips.

Also can try unplugging one of the plugs (transformer or GAKU counter), turning it 180 degrees and plugging it back in. The wall packs I got with my GAKU counter did not have polarity on the plugs e.g. one terminal larger than the other...

Wasn't sure if everythnig was working in your last post? Then none of this reply matters!

I will certainly try both suggestions tomorrow on my day off.

After plugging the GAKU power supply and the Powerflash power supply into separate outlets, everything worked flawlessly.

I also ordered a new power supply for my Powerflash from Pachinko Planet.

I made the bracket for my "Win" sensor today and ran all the wires better.

    bracket.jpg

I went to test the machine and my problem is back with the counter registering false balls shot and wins when I press the "Cheat" button.

To try and isolate my problem, I turned off the Powerflash and left the counter on. I ran a few shots through it and the counter worked perfectly. I tested it for about an hour and no flaws whatsoever. It counted every shot and every bonus properly.

I then tried running power to the counter and machine from different sources again and also tried running a ground wire from the Gaku female power plug as suggested, as well as plugging in the transformer differently. None of these fixed the problem.

I am really at a loss and would love some suggestions.

It is currently using two separate transfomers. I spoke to my Dad tonight. He is far more knowlegeabe than I will ever be with electrical. He feels I am definitely getting some "noise" in the line. I am hoping the new transformer I ordered for the Powerflash will help. The noise appears to occur when I press the cheat button or when the win light comes on. I have not tested whether the hopper empty light causes the same problem.

Sorry I have not posted a video yet. Still sorting out the "noise" issue I am getting between the Powerflash and the Gaku Counter.

I promise to post a video as soon as the problem is fixed. I have this weekend of so hopefully I will get it sorted out then.

In the meantime, here is a video made by another member of how my machine operates without the modifications.

And here is a video made by another member of the "Cheat" button added to a machine like mine.

Unfortunately no. I was working on a deal for one from a member when I lucked into mine. I sent them a PM to see if they still have one they will part with for you.

My new transformer for the Powerflash arrived today. I cannot wait to get home and install it to see if that corrects the "noise" problem.

Ok, new transformer installed. It certainly helped with the problem. I am still getting a little problem. The problem is now isolated to when a servo is activated, either by a ball going into a tulip or if I press the cheat button. When this happens my counter will sometimes register a "Shot". It is not every time but I would say about 70% of the time.

I really need some advice. My Dad said he thought this could be cleared up with a couple of capacitors. Unfortunately, he is 3 hours away and although I am comfortable with wiring and soldering and I have a basic idea what a capacitor does. I have no idea what size capacitors, how many and where they need to go.

Anybody with some electrical know how think they could talk an amateur like me through this?

I was thinking, wasn't it a member who designed the GAKU counter? Are they still around? Maybe they would have some suggestions.
