My new Sammy Computer/Coin-Operated Pachinko
On Monday, I picked up my newest toy, a vintage Sammy Computer/Coin-Operated Pachinko. I know that Card Shark has one just like it...his is in better condition. It was sold to me as "non-operational", however, when it is plugged in, the top left light comes on, the point counter light comes on (can't see it from the picture I took), and the Tilt light comes on. I am taking a bit of a leap here by thinking that the reason it doesn't work is that it has been tilted...thus the light...and that once it is reset, it will hopefully work just fine. I took several pictures, but many of them are too large for download here. I will try again, and post more later.
PROBLEM: The machine came without a key and the machine is sealed tight. The only thing I know to do is to drill the lock...hopefully, someone here has a better idea. I haven't had a chance yet to try to pick the lock, and I'll be honest...I don't know the first thing about picking locks...or drilling through them either for that matter.
PROBLEM #2: The "Pachinko" sign has been badly damaged. Does anyone here have a parts machine that has such a sign?
I look forward to getting into this machine to see if it actually works. I'm also looking forward to shining it up. I'm a big fan of the shark feature...I have a Nishijin B machine with the same shark feature.
