    Default Replacing reset key in my Yamasa Pink Panther

    When I bought my Pink panther machine (Yamasa) it did not come with the reset key that's on the power supply box. I am thinking of replacing the lock with a
    SPDT switch from Radio Shack (ON/OFF). I saw a nugget of info on one of the threads here link: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...placement.html

    I am trying to figure out if the lock is in the ON or OFF position: (turned to the left.) Taking out the power box will be a booger bear as the hopper has to come out and unplug cables going to botton of this
    power box. Then I have to figure out how to unfasten it from what ever its fastened to.

    it is in the off position, some times the lock can be drilled in the key slot to release the tumblers and the lock can be turned with a screwdriver to reset the machine.Just make sure you unplug the machine before you work on the power supply.

    Default Replacing reset key in my Yamasa Pink Panther

    Well,
    I had borrowed a key from a friend that had a similar machine. The key went into my lock but not turn the pins, was thinking of making impression.
    I am happy to say that I have solved the case of the missing power box reset key for my Yamasa Pink Panther. Took the power box out and removed the lock and was able to just remove the lock pins
    (3 of them came out along with their tiny springs) as a result, the blank key will rotate the lock to the on/off position. I had to put the meter to the two terminals on the back to check for continunity
    so that I would know what position is on and off. Reassembled it all and followed the Yamasa owners manual for reset of odds (it was on lever 3) bumped it to lever 6. I am happy camper now.

    I had posted a picture of the Japanese wording on my power box at my work and one dude was nice enough to translate it all for me. In fact, he even translated the Kanji to Arabic then to English.

    I now need to know a little more info on the tow top switches, i.e. what is their function/purpose. I used a label machine and labeled most of the Buttons etc in English.

    Top left button was translated to Jidou Kaijyo = Automatic Release and the top right = Jidou Seisam = Automatic Adjustment. <<<< Adjustment of what?

    Picture enclosed.

    glad you were able to sort it

    Re: the 2 switches:

    Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

    For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on
