Popeye not playing theme tune

Hi I've just bought a popeye Pachisho and its great but it isnt playing the popeye music as i've seen on other machines. Mine has a potentiometer volume control fitted that adjusts the in game volume but i'm not getting any music please help.

Probably find that they are cheap carbon pots and they are burnt out.
Does it make any sounds at all, when you put tokens in or hit the start lever?

Hi yes it does, all the in game sounds work when tokens are put in its just that there is no sound when the machine is idle. I am selling the machine now and was worried it is a major issue. It never had the idle sounds playing when I bought it?

I don't have any slos, but I thought all machines are quiet when not in use and in attract mode. Need someone else with the same machine to advise really . I'm sure someone will be along soon,

I have a Popeye machine. There is no sound when the machine is idle, (attraction mode).

The only machine I know of that makes any sound in attraction mode is Terminator. Arnold says "Hey you, Punk" and "Do you want to play?"
