    Default $35 Thunderbird Power Flash

I finally was able to pull the Thunderbird Power Flash out of my attic that I was able to pick up for $35. It is very dirty and honestly I wasn't expecting much but for the price I had to grab it.

I ordered a cabinet and painted it. Mounted the machine in the cabinet. Looked it over carefully before powering it up.

To my surprise all the electronics work!

A previous owner did install a power switch on the front that I plan on removing.

I do need to get a lower ball track cover. Also, the machine has been jamming up pretty often. I think this should be an easy fix with some detailed cleaning and a few adjustments.

    Here come the pictures:

The King and Queen have lit up several times. Would love to know what they indicate.

They serve the same function as the colored lenses in that location in other vintages. One is a low ball indicator and one comes on with each jackpot.

Thank you. I was guessing that but I am not very familiar with the machine. Hoping to take tomorrow off and spend some more time on it.

I believe the lower ball track cover I need is on this page as "Nishijin Model B Lower Track Cover".

Can anyone confirm that before I order it?

My Powerflash was rigged so that the King and Queen both light up on jackpots...unfortunately, the low ball indicator was disassembled. Everything else works the way it should.
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

    You asked for advice!

Add a light bulb and socket, so there are two jackpot lights (one king and one queen).
The low reward tray light will be behind the Queen...

It looks like there are two wires exiting your transformer (not 3). I'd use 30V bulbs.
If you need some send a PM...

Add a hidden, cheat button that opens the tulpis.
Add a wire for future use that is in parallel with the cheat button wire.

I would love to add the cheat button. I was also thinking of adding some bulbs that would have the center feature light up on a payout. Also planning on adding one of my Gaku counters to this machine. Still need to get it to stop jamming first.
