    Question Soft Reset Question

When you turn the door key to the left it does a soft reset. For example if you run out of tokens in the hopper on a payout, you can fill the hopper then turn key to the left and machine will pay the rest out then go as normal. Here's my question: On one of my machines, when you turn it to the left it wont do anything? Is there a way to get it to do the soft reset (some setting I need to change)? I also noticed it will do a soft reset from the inside door button.

either the lock has been replaced with a generic one or the wires inside the door are not connected properly.

The key actually turns to the left it just doesn't do the reset.
Thanks, I will look into it tomorrow.

Some machines will do a soft reset if you turn the key to the left other will not. On the HH I just sold turning the key to the left would reset the machine if I had the switch set to require a reset after a BB but would not clear an HE error (hopper out of tokens). A first I though this was a problem but was told by DGI that this just how some machines work. It may be a design issue or a problem with the machine, but hitting the reset button inside is just fine since I had to be in there anyways to fill the hopper.

A Macy Thunder VII that I owned would not do the "Left Turn" Soft reset, and I have talked with other owners of that model that confirmed it for me.

Is it your Automatic machine that will not reset?

Yes, it's the automatic. It's not a huge deal to me, but I thought it was odd that its the only one I have come across that doesn't do the soft reset. Oh well.

Open the door and look behind the door around were the lock cylinder is located. you will see two white plugs going to two sensors. These two plugs are identical. Swap the two plugs and your soft reset will now work when you turn the key to the left.
