    Default Fruit King Arrives

The Fruit King I bought from Arby arrived today. Quick shipping. I bought it on Friday. He had it packed up and called in for a UPS pickup by mid afternoon but UPS couldn't pick it up until Monday, which didn't really make any difference since I was out of town. It (and I) both arrived in Indy today.

Packing was super. There was so much foam in the box that when I put the foam back in the empty box it still filled the entire box, even with the machine gone.

Machine looks absolutely beautiful. Couldn't tell that it wasn't brand new.

I've only had about a half hour to play it. I don't quite understand how you stop playing once you start! It seems that you just keep winning and winning and winning. There was never any real break in the action (except when I had to pause to move balls to the top bin). Looks like I defiantly need to get a ball lifter.

I think the grand kids are going to love it. For me, I don't thinks it's going to replace my pachislo addiction. Just a little too hectic. I like the slower pace of the pachislos. But pachinko is certainly a fun change of pace.

Yes, the balls stayed packed. I didn't want to bring up how clean your balls were, someone would have been sure to take that the wrong way. Thanks for the 100 extra!

The balls with my MVP were just beautiful, Arby. Just like new. Almost worth just holding in one's hand and caressing. I didn't open them until today when I decided that sleeping in the barn was worth keeping the machine. haha!

I purchased the other California Sun from Arby and I agree - I have never seen so much foam in a packing box! Boy, was this machine packed well! It looks great, plays great! And...of course the balls are the shiniest I have received. I'm glad Arby's balls have previously been mentioned as my husband didn't really want me to compliment Arby on the quality of them - something about it just doesn't sound quite right. Thank you Arby for the extremely quick shipping and the great machine and...beautiful balls!

You make me blush, even my wife doesn't say that, I glad I added an extra 100 balls, or with your complament, I would send them!
I hope, Clau, you give it a good home. It is one of my jewels (pun).

I hope all felt their prices were fair after getting their machines. Thank you all.

Luckydog, I owe you one , when you least expect it , The purple hat will strike, but I do rate your pun, a 9.7 on a scale of 10.

Remember, shiny balls donÂ’t rust and they are easier to find on the floor too!

OK, I'm beginning to figure out the Fruit King. The center pocket starts the reels. The little pass-thru pocket does a delayed trigger on the flippers. I see that there are 4 green lights that show how many flipper openings you've got stored up. There are 4 segments on the orange that light up to show you stored reel spins. I've made it into a bonus round and had the big drawer open.

    Here's 2 things I don't understand yet:

    1. Usually the flippers open up for about a second. But I did have a long period of play where they opened for much longer, say 5 seconds. What determines when they open for 1 second vs. 5 seconds?

    2. There are 2 red lights that have a "0" and a "+". Sometimes only one of the lights are on. Other times both are on but are flashing rapidly. What do these lights mean?

I am now convinced that if you want to have a pachinko mixed in with your pachislos and turn people loose on these at a party, a ball lifter is a must. I've ordered one from slotsdirect. Unfortunately, adding a ball lifter basically doubles the price of a pachinko - making them much more expensive than pachislos.

Enter cyclic play. No additional cost and nothing to worry about trying to teach everyone how to shift balls around.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Am wondering if the + and O lights indicate the first of your stored flipper openings? On my Fever Flash, the X and O lights do that and then go on to the other bank of four lights to show more stored flipper openings for a total of 7, I believe.

    ROFL!!!
    It's flirting!!!

Have you tried it at a party yet, Gary?
Just wondering if it draws attention once people see it... even with all those other toys you have.

    Cyclic... hmmm...
    For a few machines... yes.
But you know, the way Gwarzin gets into machines, he might just want to start looking at a parlor circulation system.

I bet you're right. Next time I play I'll watch for that.

    Hey Don,

Tulsa is starting with that Cyclic disease again. I was hoping he might have recovered by now.

Gary's description of his flashing "+" and "-" lights and their relationship to the opening of the flippers certainly does sound like the operation of those lights and flippers on the Fever Seven Flash machines.

Tulsa: Just say "No!" to all that cyclic mumbo jumbo. You can kick this disease if you really try.

    Best wishes,
    Dave Wile
