    Smile PS3 installing bigger drive

I'm in the process of replacing my 120gb hard drive in my ps3 slim with a 500gb one

I signed up to psplus and they have loads of free full games to download. many close to 20gb each!!

I got a brand new 500gb seagate 2 1/2 5400rpm drive for under 70 bucks shipped from ebay

thank goodness for youtube, I would be lost without info on there

the backup drive you move everything must be formatted in a special fat format, i got a program on line called fat32format 1.03 to do that

then you need to get the latest update from sony and load that on a thumbdrive in a file called PS3 and folder named update.

between moving info and different formatting this is an all day project, the easiest part will be installing the actual drive in the ps3

I'm in the first part of backing transfering now, I'll let you all know how it progresses in future posts
