    Default Power Transformer Question

On my Pachislo machine the main 120vac / 24vacpower transformer gets very hot and hums, even with the machine is turned off via the power switch. The transformer that's installed is a 125VA. The sticker on the inside of the machine indicates 250VA.

Should I upgrade to a larger transformer?

It can't hurt to use a bigger transformer. I use 300VA ones on my pachi's

Also note. Always turn off your machine at the wall socket not just on the machine. As otherwise power will keep flowing into the transformer which is just a large length of copper wire.

Same voltage here in Canada. 110/120 volt 60 Hz. I have the machine on a power bar right now to shut it off when I'm done, I find it a pain to use the power bar in my setup.

i'm currently working on adding a key switch to control the coin hopper with 24v dc to allow the tray in front to be filled with tokens, without opening the machine.

I got my l-pads installed yesterday to control volume, and a box of 1000 shiny tokens arrived in the mail :-D

Maybe you know already, there is an inexpensive board you might be able to your machine to add to add credits by pushing one of the stop buttons... Mine works great.
Only problem is 3 yo grand daughter figured out that she likes to "cash out" a LOT.

I like the feel of adding tokens to the machine rather than using credits.
Are you referring to the auto stop board that can be added or is this a different board?

Auto stop board is correct! Search for user Newintown, please someone help me if that is incorrect user name.

His board is a step up from others I've seen.
You can put tokens in the regular way.
To add 50 tokens to the front tray, without opening the machine, add 50 credits and press cash out button.

I'm more a vintage pachinko person but have one pachislo that is popular amongst family members.

I picked up a larger 24vac 200 VA transformer for $60.00 through a wholesale. I could have got a 250 or 300 VA but had to order 24 of them. I don't quite need that many.
