Default pachinko home cabinets from Japan

Has anyone else seen these? They cost about $200 but shipping is $400 with EMS. Bloody piracy! Anyone have any thoughts of getting copies made by a local carpenter here or a cheaper way to import? I would love to have a couple but it's impossible for me me to justify $600 on one. Any ideas would be so much appreciated. Thanks

I really think it would be an easy build. Certainly would be a lot cheaper to build it yourself as well.

build your own... if you don't have the equipment then take a Machine and a few pics to a cabinet shop.. but I'm sure a cabinet shop is going to cost ya a few hundred more then building it your self

Build a cabinet that suits you...and attach it to a microwave stand.

That's a pretty easy build. All straight cuts.

    Here's what I did with a microwave cart... http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...wave-cart.html

I build my own cabs, very easy and almost free.
go to local tip and get some old flat pack wardrobes for free.
mark up all your sizes on the wood, then find somewhere to cut it for you.
There is always someone who will cut it for a couple of quid (dollars)
    Then bang it all together.
It's not that hard, just take your time and plan it right.
    Good luck.DSC_0140.jpg

    TIP

Council run waste disposal area. A garbage dump to you fellows across the pond

Wardrobes are large stoage cupboards normally found in bedrooms that we hang our clothes in after they have been washed and ironed and before we wear them again. Normally made from wood, Modern cheap ones are made from laminated chipboard, or conti board, If your lucky solid wood.

    Never seen a cardboard one

I build my own too, more complicated than some, but it was overall very easy. I forget where i posted about it. Mine hangs on the wall.

I bought my cabinets from Homepage

Very good quality, just can be a little frustrating with communication and turn around times.
