Default Rare find - now my oldest machine.

Well I have owned over 95 machines and it is hard to believe that I have never bought one from Ebay... until yesterday. I can't believe that this is the first machine I bought from ebay, but even more is I found a piece of history. At first I thought it was another typical 50's single shot then I started to look closer. The badge on the cell said Nishijin. I have never seen a Nishijin machine this old. I looked through the pachinko (I finally have a copy of that now as well. ) and the oldest Nishijin I saw in there was build year 57 and it had a chrome frame so this one has to be earlier. My guess is build year is between 51-54 (can't find the date on the machine anywhere) which is really cool seeing Nishijin started in 51. So I might have gotten one of the first model Nishijin machines ever built! When I saw the listing it had less than a day left and I noticed it wasn't too far and the price was reasonable. So I threw some bids in and contacted the seller about local pickup and won the auction. Today when I offer to pick it up the seller says they have a friend heading my way and the hill bring me the machine part way. So all in all it was an easy transaction for a really cool machine.

I guess you want some pics now?

I thought it was interesting how the loader plate had a Ginza Parlor on it. (Yes I'm sure it is a parlor from the ginza strip and not the brand Ginza)

Ball Dump mechanism. Thought it was cool how you have to slide out the chute.

    Jackpot ball dump I think.

I also don't know what is with the old ss machines I find. They always seem to have someone's scribbles on the back.

It also came with a whole bunch of vintage cannon balls.

All in all I think I found a great machine and I look forward to playing it.

    Dude!
Your as bad as I am when you get your eye on something!

At least find out more about yours first! But honestly, I still lean much more toward moderns
as far as my machine goes, all I can say right now is "Who know what the future may hold?"

Very nice! I've not seen a Nishijin SS before. I've got a Ginza I would trade you for it.Ginza 001.jpg But since it has no Japanese writing on the back,002.jpg I,m sure it is a NO-GO! The attached thumbnail is Comicgo, I selected it by mistake. Hard to see the details in the thumbnails.

Translated some of it. It looks like it was a kid just practicing his characters as there are a lot that are the same. Even more odd is a lot of them translated to he. So it read, hehehe.

I got it and another single shot in trade "even Stephen" for 2 pachislos that I didn't have much money in. Would have been a good deal...IF local! Shipping 2 pachislos from Dayton, Ohio to Washington state was expensive! About $120 eash...plus packing materials! I left the Ginza "as found" so if I find something rare...and someone is willing to trade, no complaints about how it was restored. They are only original ONCE! I did fix up Comicgo.

Comicgo is on her way back! And now back to our regularly scheduled thread!

Wow that machine is so cool! What a great find. The back reminds me a lot of my Masamuri.
