Well here you go. Don't see circuit machines pop up for sale often. I have 2 of them and they are fun to play. This one looks to be in decent shape. (besides the black paint on the front.) It might also work looking at the back but I can't tell if that is a potentiometer they put in or a transformer of some sort. Also right now it is a pretty decent price.

I had a deal on one of these in NJ but the Craigslist seller stopped communicating when I was making arrangements to come buy the machine. I had him a $50 if I remember right. Maybe he realized it would fetch more and that is why he ended communication.

Circuit Racer captured by Pachinko Planet. Went from $71.99 to $102.50 in the last 5 seconds. Total cost delivered: $152.50. Into the restoration queue it goes, hopefully to come out fully restored some time in the summer.

I will let you know what the heck that potentiometer is for when I get it and get a good look at it. Obviously a aftermarket bolt-on. It won't be there when it's finished.

Got the machine today. It's actually in pretty nice shape. Someone really took care of it, they even pulled everything off the front before painting it black. I was curious if anyone knew the correct voltage for this as it only has one input block. Carl said he thought it was 24V, but wasn't sure.

I will be giving it a try soon with a 24VDC wallwart just to see where I am. I am tepidly optimistic that the electronics will just work, but the realist in me expects them to be totally fried. At any rate, clients are beating down my door for restoring grandpa's or uncle bill's machine, so it is already getting pushed back in the queue. I have 6 machines of my own I want to get to, and the Circuit Racer is the #1 priority of the those at least.

remember the lights are still set up for 10 volts or so.. other members have changed the bulbs to run on 24 volts so thats an option as well.. but a Transformer with a center tap is the best way i have found..
