    Default Kyoraku machine (1980s?)

So, I went to a thrift store in a nearby town. I was looking around, and saw this little machine just asking to be purchased. Talked with the owner, plugged it in. Lit up and all. I thought it was making some musical notes when I was in the store when I plugged it in, but that could've been music in the store. Doesn't make any noise here at home.

I got to looking around the back of it, tripped the low ball switch, and it fires and everything. Appears to be in good working order, but I only have like 30 balls for it, which, as I understand, isn't enough to make it work. The balls have a KP on either side with a line going around.

Anyway. what do you guys think? Good deal for $30? No key, but I can open front glass and also the frame from behind. Appears to be almost everything there, not sure what that plug up by the light goes to. Also, the little lever under that plug on the track, what purpose does it serve? It appears just to block the track when it is down? Might need some slight soldering work. Going to order balls soon, anyone suggest where I could get more of similar label? Would like them to match, but doesn't really matter. The balls with it are kinda rusty. Flowers on the front appear to work properly also.

WOW! Great deal! Getting balls with the same markings is not gonna happen. However, you should save the "kinda rusty" balls for testing "dirty" machines...and get some new ones...actually, good used ones. Nice looking machine!

first off nice looking machine.. great price as well

    second

    Welcome to Pachitalk

    third
the plug your asking about would have given the parlor feedback when the machine was low on balls. that plug will not be used for your home use..

finding the same balls is nearly impossible.. member might have a few like yours but all you need is real pachinko balls.. easy to fine on DaBay

pachinko balls in Pachinko | eBay

stay away from the gold ones..

your machine will hold about 1000 balls so the more ya have the longer ya can play before ya refill it.. and lets face it our going to get another Machine.. so the more balls ya buy the cheaper they are..

I did actually buy some balls on Ebay. Something like 500 for $33 with maybe katakana on them., and got two orders. Should be here this week coming up, I hope. Also, can't figure how to set my signature...

Weird, it's there for me. Maybe requires a certain number of posts to unlock? Need a Mod to confirm or deny.

Alright, got a video up on the tubez.

Kyoraku 1980s Pachinko machine running - YouTube

Looks like it does everything it is supposed to do. My friend is playing it so I can take the video. Enjoy!

Also, the left petal was sticking, turns out some balls jammed on the mechanism. Had to empty out the machine, flip it upside down and let gravity do a bit of work. Tried taking off a couple rear panels only to discover the jam was behind the main rear panel, and that wasn't coming out tonight. Now all three trip and reset when one goes down either side of the center jackpot, and all three reset proper when the second ball comes down. Really hate turning it upside down, because I can see where a ball is stuck where one shouldn't be (but not against any electrics, so no shorts or fire hazard). Firing mechanism seems to work really nice, and the stop button functions well, too. So it seems I got a nearly perfect functioning pachinko. This must be kinda rare to find that way?

Now to figure if I'm gonna clean it up and stuff. Only wish I had a key for those locks on either side, but I can just trip the whole thing from the back anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter.

    Ahh, so much fun!

nice looking machine.. glad to see ya got it up and running..

ya might try some nail adjusting to help the machine pay a bit more.. I like my machines to pay about 100% so the player sees action and does not have to keep filling the shooter tray..

Actually, since I got that petal fixed, it works a lot nicer now and nets to the user more than the video lets on. Since I fixed that and removed the other jams, seems like that tray always fills up for me over a short enough time. Means I gotta add more balls in the trough more often, but it's a lot of fun. 1,000 balls helps too, means I don't have to add all the time.
