    Default Long Term Rebuild

Well this is a machine I just recently finished. This machine was one of the first five I bought. I started to tear it apart last year around January - February. Then I got side tracked by a member's killer deal on 60 machines that I had to have. (Still love them all.) Anyways I had it all torn apart and the frames restained the dark rosewood.

I left the background in place as I said to myself I will replace it but I don't want a factory background. I want something custom and to my taste, I know for a while on here I was saying I would try to get Shag or Derek to do some artwork for me. Well they all of a sudden got really busy and couldn't (for cheap that is). So I scanned in a sign that we had that fit the theme. I rendered the image in photoshop and printed a new background just for this machine (and another one).

I didn't start working on this machine again till about 3 weeks ago. After I put the background back on and got everything in place I went to put the chrome back on; and wasn't happy with the front panel, as almost all the chrome was gone. So I decided to put some wallpaper over it just like Sankyo and other companies did. I found a massive roll (30 yards) of hotel grade wallpaper at a local resale store for 5 bucks. (killer deal) I used headliner adhesive to put it on, it went on easy and very simple.(as long as you cut it right ) The only thing I noticed is that it is sorta hard to close the upper chrome frame due to the extra thickness. But you don't need to get in there often so it works out fine. But if anyone wants some of the wallpaper send me a PM I'll give you a killer deal.

All in all the fabrication and customization was worth it in the end. (I just can't call a machine mine until I have made a custom part for it.) I'm really proud of how it came out and will hang onto it for quite a while.

Thanks for all the compliments. I try my hardest to make every machine I rebuild the best. It seems they turn out better and better each time.

Actually I remembered the other night this machine isn't quite yet finished. I have one minor detail that I still need to do. You notice in the picture below you have the sphinx thing. I haven't put that back on yet because I plan on putting in my own image. I plan on using Derek's vector art program to make my own. Below the sphinx I have a picture that is similar to what I'm thinking about putting there (only thing different is I will probably take out the bowling pin and change the background color.)
