my lights will be going up this coming week. just got a new roof so I will now feel safer going up there. as for snow...heck this is Florida the only way I get to see snow is when you lovely people post some for me ... so as it snows remember us people in Florida like to look , not touch

I saw snow flurries on the Green Bay Packers game on tv

A great thing to do up here is pay 5 bucks for a permit and cut down your own Xmas tree. Sunday morning we fired up the jeep and headed out. It's a lot of fun driving around the mountain roads, climbing to the right elevation and then suddenly snow everywhere.

Winter in Florida

I started with one plant about 10 years ago and gave some away since then

Still no snow here..It was 50* today!!

I saw on the news that lots of places were getting snow so I hope everyone has their cameras ready!!

No snow here, but I have arranged for a limo to pick us up on the 26th to do a Tacky Light Tour. I should have some photos to share after that.

No snow in town yet but we did find some just up the road. Our first snowmobile venture this year on the coldest day of the year.

Our second stop was Robinson Flat, a historic site and campground in the summer time. A remote area, but the site of a former small town. The buildings include a small store and jail dating back over 100 years. The closest structure is a gazebo that has been built over a hand pump. I could not believe that it worked well, even with temps in the teens.

Third stop was Duncan Peak, a USFS Fire lookout. You can see the building in the center of one of the pics if you look closely. The picture of the tree will give you an idea how cold it was up there at noon.

I had gone to NY for New Years and it snowed the whole time I was there.
