    Smile Great Value !

After ordering and receiving a set of plans and a cursory review:

Very detailed plans, easy to follow, worth every penny as is, also worth it if you just are making your own version of your own cabinet design.

The included, rotatable, 3D drawings offer a level of clarity not available with 2D plans.

This is not a paid endorsment, just my humble opinion.

    Looks great Cardwwi

Time very well spent. What program did you use for the cut configuration? I have been wanting something like that but don't want to pay a ton of money for it as I won't use it terribly much.

looks great. I wish there was a way to buy say, the double cabinet all precut and ready to go with hardware, etc. - i have zero woodworking skills, none of the appropriate tools, etc. - i'd love to put it together, stain/paint, slap my machine in, and call it a day. even better, pre-painted with several color choices. Think that may be an option?

I am working on a kit idea but it would only be for the single cabinet, you can mount as many as you want next to each other on the same cleat. It would be cut from #2 pine lumber, so most likely it would have to be painted. The only hold up is lock placement to release the front of the machine for maintenance, not all catches are the same. I could probably do a special order on another type of lumber, but need to get all the bugs worked out for a standard lock placement.

thanks for the reply - i think i previously asked you about a kit, and you had mentioned single cabinet and working out bugs.
lock placement - one option MIGHT be to just have a hole in one of several usual spots (maybe the purchaser can specify machine or where lock is) - then it's a matter of sticking a finger in to release. or alternatively, a pull string (either up or down) ought to do it (i only have 2 vintage machines, don't know about releases on the more modern ones)
i've had my 2 machines on my table for a few months now - i'd love to get them on the wall where i feel more comfortable that the kids won't knock them over/down.
Anyway, please let me know if/when a kit is available - thanks again!

This is what I am thinking on the locks and if I had the machine in front of me it's no problem to do.

need to finding a standard placement that works on all or most machines.

i think the key/lock would be great - perhaps there's a way to have the buyer either measure "something" or use some sort of template, or have a kit that has a piece of wood or similar to act as a guide/template for the hole and lever - the lock is secondary (to me) for having the beasts off the table and up onto the wall...another option is to have the purchaser indicate lever up or down to activate, and where it is in relation to the bottom edge of the machine

Nice solution but there is only one problem I see with it. Well 2 actually.

First it isn't in the same spot on all machine as you noticed.

Second, Say you want to put 2 cabinets next to each other with no gap between them. How would you open both machines?

You solution would work out good for a single cabinet but you might want to look into something else for a double.

Both are on the same cleat, all you would have to do is slide the first one over 4" or 5". If you have 3 or 4 in a row it maybe a little work to get to the end one.
