    Default Newbie Machine and Cabinet

    Hello Everyone,
I was recently given a 1975 Daiichi... and now I'm addicted ... I'm already looking for another machine.
I think this one is in very good condition (compared to some I've seen for sale)... everything works perfectly... I just had to do some cleaning on it.
I made an oak cabinet for it (using different ideas I got from pictures on this forum)... I think it turned out pretty well for my first attempt.
I made a large ball drop box (that easily holds the 1300 balls I have)... and I put plexiglass on the back of the cabinet to help keep dust out (I wanted people to be able to see the back mechanism as I think it's just as interesting as the front). I made a ball hopper in the top top of the cabinet that automatically feeds the ball tray through a drop tube... it easily holds the 1300 balls I have... I may buy another 1000 balls for it.

    Greg Lockhart

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

I simply love your oak cabinet!! Great design. The Plexi on the back is a very nice touch.

Thanks for sharing your work with us. You have inspired me to make a similar looking cabinet/stand for my Arrange Ball machines.

    to Pachitalk

That is a very nice Daiichi you have there.

And also a pretty rad cabinet to go with it.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.

Thanks for all the compliments... I am pretty proud of my machine/cabinet... I'd like to do another one someday.
MrGneiss, yes that's a gyroplane that I'm building... a SparrowHawk. I bought the kit a few years ago but haven't finished it yet... seems like whenever I go to the garage I spend my time doing other things... like building a pachinko cabinet
Here's a couple of pictures of completed SparrowHawk gyros.

That Gyroplane is very cool. Does it require a license to fly?

    Card Shark,
Yes, they require a license... but the type of license depends on the aircraft weight. If the weight is over 1320 lbs you need a regular pilots license (which I have)... if it's under 1320 lbs you can fly as a "Sport Pilot" which only requires a valid driver's license ( I'm trying to keep mine under 1320). Either way, proper and adequate training is required.
