Default Lurking in an Antique Shop

This was peeking from behind an old bench with dust and dirt and grime on it. I never saw one before, I didn't know what it was, but the price tag told me it should go home with me. Price tag said $19. I asked the lady if the price was right, she scratched her head and said "I don't think so". I said, "Then what is the price?" She stared at the $19 sticker and said, "I guess it's $19".

I bought it, placed it in the back of the station wagon, and took it home for clean up and inspection. I don't know how to read Chinese and thought it was a Plinko machine of some type...then my wife said "I bet there's a forum for these machines." And, here I am.

It needs some parts, from what I can figure out. Would love to get the lights to work, and to have it function the way it used to. I already replaced the two front plexiglass windows. Maybe someone can tell me what I have and if I can get parts for it. In the meantime, I like looking at it!

Yes, original Plum Crazy, just like us. Originally 383, now has a 440. Pistol grip 4-spd. Just changed the rear gear from open 3.23 to TrueTrac 3.73, hope to have it up and running again this weekend! Lemon Twist is a great color, too, bet your brother would still like to own that one. We've all let things go that we wish we still had!

    to pachitalk.

What you have there is an Okumara-Yuki / Monako machine. Build year is 1976-77 I think, hard to remember them all. Yeah you are missing quite a few covers off the back. Luckily most of the important ones are flat so you could probably make copies out of plexi-glass. I'll post some pics of the back of my okumar-yuki this weekend.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. And once again welcome to PT.

The Pachinko is cleaned up, and I'll get working on finding or fabricating panels for the back. There are some linkage rods that are missing, too. But, my balls are engraved, and I heard that's a good thing. I'll post again when I've accomplished something more with it. Thanks for all your help, and happy Moparing!

Great information, thanks a lot! It looks like something from the 70's. I'll watch for the pics of your machine, that'll be helpful.

I was thinking like Max...making Plexiglass covers. The raised "ball dump" channel may be challenging, but even making the whole back panel flat...ignoring the "ball dump" path would make it functional, although tricky to empty. The linkage rods can be made, hopefully someone will post good pics for you. You will need to post some pics of where they were, so they will know what to take pics of. If clear measurements are not included, then some trial and error will be required.
    I almost forgot...to pachitalk!
