I have been getting some pictures from my daughter in Atlantic City. It is an absolute mess up there. Going to take a long time to get power up and things back to normal.

OMG ! We got our ASS KICKED here in Jersey!
What a powerful storm it was. And long.
My family and home are safe, we were blessed. Others were not so fortunate.
I work in Lakewood ... 25 miles southeast of my home in central NJ. I drove there this morning @ 7AM and it seemed as if I was the only person on the road. There were trees, tree limbs, tons of debris and power lines down EVERYWHERE. NO home or business I passed had electricity. The city of Lakewood in in a shambles. I have never seen so much destruction.

Best wishes go out to those who are recovering from this.

I have been reading the news updates and looking at some of the shots of the storm; they are just shocking to look at.

Especially this one.

I just got this email from the Henry rifle company!!

Hurricane Sandy has caused significant damage to the Henry Repeating Arms plant in Bayonne New Jersey. We do not have any electricity, nor do we have any telephone or email service

they had 2 days to do it. they could have also bought extra gas too!!

at least there isn't a lot of looting like they had in N. O.
