    Question Speaker Replacement

I have Pachipro History pachinko game, While taking it apart to figure things out, I found that the speaker is all ripped and cracked, but still works. It looks like a 1.5" x 2.5" oval speaker. Is this something common that I can get a replacement? Any ideas where to find one?

    Thanks

    Joe

The speaker you took out should have how many ohm it puts out on it so just so you replace with a speaker that has same ohm output any "same size speaker" should work just fine. You might find on at radio shack or similar type store. Ohm output is important to keep from "cooking" the amplifier!!

Don't forget to also match up watts... If the speaker is an 8ohm @ 10w speaker, you should replace it with an (8ohm @ 10w) to (8ohm @ 20w). If you go with a higher wattage, the sound volume will start to fade, and the high pitch sounds will not be as crisp.

NOTE: If you can find it, a (16ohm @ 20w) would be an ideal replacement. The volume will be almost reduced by 1/3 to 1/2 from the 8ohm speaker, and some people don't like those ultrasonic high pitch noises.

SIDE NOTE: Automobile speakers are (4ohm), Home speakers are usually (8ohm), Most PA and wall-speakers are (16ohm). So you don't go crazy in radio shack, looking in the automobile section.
