If you love to buy second-hand underwear (and who doesn't?) but as yet have kept your hobby discreetly hidden, well, here's a reason to shout it from the rooftops because we have for sale the world's largest bra, complete with its Guinness World Records' certificate. Usually there's something quite unsavoury about buying second-hand underwear; used vests and pants tend to have a physical and metaphorical grubbiness about them, so think of this as more of the ultimate lifestyle statement or well earned accoutrement for the person who has everything.


Imagine how your neighbours will swell with pride when they see the world's largest bra draped over the roof of one of the houses in their street, or why not string it up and use it as a giant hammock? Instead of inviting people round to 'hot tub' at your place, why not invite them for a nice swing in the bra hammock? It could easily take a dozen people; just add a few cheeky Malibu's and you've got yourself a jaw droppingly good party. Or you could even take it on holiday and use it as a tent - one look at that baby fluttering gently in the breeze and you'll be the people to be seen with at the campsite bar, plus you’ll have no problem remembering where you pitched it.

The world's largest bra was constructed last year as a perfect scaled up replica of a commercially available bra and was used to kick-start fundraising on breast Cancer Awareness Day, so we'll be using the proceeds from the auction to do exactly the same thing this year. At 29.6m long, with cups that are 7m across and 2.5m deep and made from fluorescent pink spinnaker nylon, the world's largest bra isn't going to be for everyone but just like the iPad, you didn't know you couldn't live without it until it came into your life.


So happy bidding, not only is it for a great cause but you'll almost certainly enjoy your very own 15 minutes of fame and probably pick up a few Twitter followers as well, plus as it was featured on ITV's seminal daytime classic This Morning, you'll also be buying an item with some serious provenance. This has got 'Antiques Roadshow 2099' stamped all over it.
