    Nice machine.
Is the top left of the cell de-laminated or is it a reflection?

Reflection. They didn't take out the glass.

I agree does seem like a nice machine. Though might take a little while to clear that ball jam.

I saw that hole as well but now i look there are two holes on the other side and i can see a sun strip that runs all the way up the chrome frame.. look as if something was removed?? or the chrome was replaced??

if ya look at the back i don't see a way to open the glass???

    something hinky about this one??

Now that you mention it I don't see a way to open the glass either. It looks like someone may have removed the latch. Which means what is holding it shut? At first I thought a lock would go in the hole in the front but the machine doesn't need a lock as it has the wing nuts. I don't think it opened the chrome as that is on the other side. So I still have no clue about the hole.

The glass doesn't open in most older single shots, it slides out a slot in the top of the frame.

The hole is probably for a button that resets the payout teeter. You can see the mechanism in the last picture on the lower left.

most of the slid out glass machines i have seen are all wood framed.. dont think i have seen one with a chrome frame that slid out the top..

    but that would make sense..

Likely had a push button to what I call an elevator to lift JP balls back to the seesaw if it was in the down position. The linkage appears to be there...but the button was probably plastic, and probably got broken. The latch linkage to open the glass looks to be missing as well. But for $30...what a deal!
