Default Trying to get 2 pachislo machines working

Hello all, I have just aquired 2 Pachislo machines, 1 is a Bellco AM Bingo machine and the other is a NDT AM Super Planet. Neither one of them work, but the Super Planet almost does. The Super Planet will accept tokens and they do register but when I spin the reels they will not stop with the skill stop buttons. I did find some info that said to replace the fuse on the board that is associated with the skill stop buttons, I did that but it blew when I powered the game back on. As far as the Bingo machine, it just barely lights up and won't accept any coins at all. Any ideas as to where I should begin with these?

    Thanks,

    David

As with all things electronic it can be anything from a giant list. You say that the buttons are not working, but do the reels time out on their own (do they stop after a time themselves) If they do, then it's nothing to do with the reel position sensors.

You said that it is blowing a fuse. Did the fuse blow straight away as soon as you switched the machine on?? or did you hit the start or the stop buttons or enter a token first? If it is blowing immediately, I would disconnect the board that is on the door of the pachi (the one the stop buttons are on, there is usually a small connector or ribbon doing this) replace the fuse and switch on with this still disconnected. If the fuse does not blow then it is down to the button panel, but if it does blow again, then it is something a little sinister.

    Keep us all informed!

On your Super Planet T machine, if the fuse in the stop board is "blowing" you most likely have a bad stop board.

Your Bingo machine, that is not powering up. I would start with the transformer and make sure it is putting out 24 volts. Check the fuse(s) in the power supply. Then you should reset every connection in the machine. When resetting the connections look it the pins and make sure none are bent or corroded, (discolored). If the machine still doesn't power up then you most likely have a bad power supply.
