I used the micro switch for the ball light out, for the ball bucket at the top of my machine. I have no switch for my jackpot light. I have the old micro switch that came on the machine. If you look up further in this thread, you will see pics of my machine. The black switch is the ORIGINAL switch that came with the machine. When I bought it from a lady down the street from me, there were NO lights, NO plug, the wires had been cut, there were pennies in the ball part on the front, it had NO glass in the front, it was VERY dirty and dusty. I took the machine apart, and cleaned everything in about 2 days. It's a SLOW restoration process, but I have not seen a vintage machine since I was a kid, in the early 1980's. I took the front of the door where the glass goes, took it to ACE hardware, and had 2 pieces of glass cut to fit PERFECT and it cost me $7.50 for 2 pieces of glass. I used the micro switch that I bought in the 9 volt light kit from Vintage Pachinko, LLC in TX. ( they are a JOKE ) My light kit QUIT after 2 days, and popped both bulbs. I was only going off the pictures they showed with the light kit. So I didn't know what I was doing, and now the lights work ( had to really play around with the wires I got with the kit. I got it working, I just need a switch for the jackpot light ( the jackpot light stays on ALL the time. Once again, thanks to the people who have posted to this thread, it's been most helpful.

the leif switch is going to work best for the jackpot light.. if you still ahve yours post a few pics so we can see it.. I have yet to throw away a complete leif switch.. if the parts are there then ya should be able to save it and reuse it..

you can use a micro switch for the jackpot as well but that is going to be harder and you will have to relocate it to a different location.. the jackpot seesaw does not have enought weight to trip a micro switch..

start from scratch and make your own light set..

think of it as a loop.. wire from one side of the power source to the leif / micro switch.. then to the bulb then back to the power source.. to make it easy you can make two loops one for each light..

if you dont have the leif switch le us know, im sure one of us has one we can let go of..

Here is a pic of my fully restored Sankyo. (well no longer mine cause I sold it. )

    033g.jpg13.jpg

Only thing I did different was add an extra light and switched it to LEDs. Though now thinking about it the extra light is the one that goes in the center. As the extra light I made for the jackpot(light behind top tray). The one below the micro switch is the ball out light.

    Any questions just ask.

The switch looks fine. The factory melted it on the under side like that to hold in the copper plates. If that is what your referring to.

Based on the first pic in post #23 it looks fine unless you pulled out the wires. If you did that then it is near impossible to solder them back on.

Fixing them is not that bad.. I ruined the first one i tried to repair (melted the plastic to much)... now i don't have a problem.. give it a try Max..

I pull the leads straight out.. use a sharp razor to cut new slots to put them back in.. punch holes to lead the wires threw.. resolder the new wires into the holes (punching a hole makes it impossible to break again).. work the re soldered Leif's back onto the cuts and use my iron to melt the plastic a bit to hold them in place..

some times i clip a bit of extra plastic off the end of the lief holder to melt back into the center...

once reinstated and adjusted there golden

I have repaired one or 2. It is just something I don't like to do, as it just becomes a tad tedious. Though if you don't have any spares you don't really have a choice.

I can not seem to find a leaf switch ANYWHERE online. I have looked, and looked, and all I found was a long arm micro switch from that Vintage Pachinko company in TX, and they will not sell me anymore parts, as I called them out on bad business practices.
