    Default What's next?

Ever sell anything on eBay or Craigslist or at a garage sale?
If these clowns have their way, everybody that does sell stuff on those places, would have to get permission from the original manufacturer!!!
I don't for a minute think that this would really happen and if it did, that they could ever enforce it.

People are getting crazier and crazier. I am tired of idiots and they're crazy ideas. If I purchase something then I have the right to keep it, sell i or whatever else I decide to do with it.

    Stupid stupid stupid

So they basically want you to buy stuff which you only have the right to use..
Sort of like ebooks and music..

Another way to stick it to the consumer. Brought to you by the man.

if we payed for it, we should have the right to do wharever we want with it

like sales tax when something is new sales tax is charged, when its resold its taxed again.

like a new car, everytime its sold till it hits the junk yard, sales tax is charged

There is a difference between "purchasing" and "Licensing" merchandise. Music and other intellectual property is typically "licensed" for personal use, but you don't own the rights to the originals. Consumer goods are "purchased" and therefore owned by the consumer to do with as they wish.

Too many lawyers creating frivolous regulations in this world.

it would mean that the copyright holders of anything you own that has been made in China, Japan or Europe, for example, would have to give you permission to sell it.
So what would happen if you try to sell a pachinko? As there are many more than one copyright on a machine. I mean people were borrowing parts like crazy so how can you tell if a part is copy written or not and if it is who owns it?

    Just plain stupid.

    100 machines and counting...

That's nothing to what the European union want to do with cars, car parts and servicing and repairs. In which no matter what make and model you will have to buy original parts to keep all cars type approved. No third party servicing, customising etc for all cars no matter what age. Is all madness

If this were taken a bit further, no manufacturer would be able to sell there products. For example, a company builds a new car. They did not manufacture the tires or stereo, among probably another 100 components that went into the car. Since the tire and stereo manufacture's hold the rights to their products wouldn't that mean that the auto manufacturer wouldn't have the rights to sell it.

It did mention products manufactured abroad...could spark new found interest in "made in USA"! I am still against it! Plus it mentions antique itema like your grandmothers jewelry. What if a manufacturer has gone out of business? Are you free to sell...or you stuck with it? Of course you can destroy something, and the manufacturer has no problem with that (you or someone has to BUY another), but selling...that makes YOU money! It seems to be all about money and control!
