    Post Pachinko cell cleaner... maybe

Found this today and of course, my mind turned to it's usefulness (or not) for cell cleaning.

I've found it very difficult to find anything locally, and importing the proper Sankyo cell cleaners is rather expensive, so this *may* be an alternative.

Haven't ordered one : I though those that do have the Cell PICA cleaner set already might cast an eye over this and give us their thoughts on suitability, perhaps?

Its a generic version of a Black and Decker product now discontinued. I have one and use it to clean the tile in my bathroom.
Its not suitable for cleaning pachinkos as the brush spins and the bristles are too short.
The Cell Pica's brush vibrates FAST, but does not spin.

I picked up a massager at Goodwill, ($3.49), with the same thought in mind that this could be an inexpensive alternative to a Sankyo cell cleaner.

It is a two speed massager and vibrates back and forth, does not rotate. It came with several attachments, but nothing suitable for cleaning. So I retro-fitted one of the attachments with a soft, but firm, brush and it worked out Great!
I was able to clean the cell without it get caught on anything. ( I actually tried to get it to catch on something, but couldn't.), The brisles vibrated through and around everything. It cleaned between every nail and every little crevice that is almost impossible otherwise to clean. It did a great job of cleaning and polishing everything in the cell and only took a few minutes. I cleaned and polished 5 cells in 1/2 hour.

I can't wait for them to get dirty again, that was how well and easy the massager worked. I haven't researched to see what they cost new, but I'am sure they are cheaper than the Sankyo. Of course you will have to fit a brush to one of the attachments, but that wasn't to hard to figure out.

    Here's some pictures.

guffaw... no, those attachments *wouldn't* be good for too much else than they were actually designed for : ladies pleasure.

It's the brush that I can't find Wayne... had a good look around Hardware and Art stores here and it was the brush I couldn't match.

But the massager seems a great tool.

I use the soft polyester brush to clean the cell with. I cut it from a small hand held "whisk" broom.

To polish the cell I use Novus#1 and a soft bristle paint brush, that I modified. By pulling the bristles tight and holding them together,( I used tape to hold them together), it makes a nice soft, tight bristle brush. Perfect for polishing. It doesn't look to great, but works exceptionally well.

I'am really amazed how well this setup works. It makes it so easy to clean and polish everything.
