Issue with a pachislo machine. Please Help

I have a Pachislo machine that is having an issue and I need some help to try to fix it.
The machine turns on and accepts tokens with no issue, but when you push the joystick down, the reels do not want to spin at all, nor does it make the noise like it's in spinning mode. I know the joystick works because I need to use it to program the odds when I turn on the machine, and all of the buttons on the machine make an LED light light up on the board inside the machine.
If anyone has any suggestion on how to fix this issue, that would be great.

have you tried moving the lever up?? it seems like a poor contact on the lever.
