When I received my Twin Tales pachinko, over a month ago, from Texas Auctions, the lanterns did not move side to side and there was a terrrible grinding noise coming from the motors. At the suggestion of Carl, I took the motors apart, and sure enough, there was a hard glob of grease, in two of the three motors, that was preventing them from turning. I removed the globs, the noise disappeared, and the lanterns now move side to side. Unfortunately, over the past two weeks the motors have begun to get noisy again - I assume they are in need of lubrication. It has been suggested to me, by Curtis of TA, that I try squirting Graphite dust on the motors to reduce the noise.

What type of lubricants are typically used on the motors in pachinkos? I would greatly appreciate any and all input on the types of lubricants used and their results.

Thank you.
