Any info on my two new toys? (Aliens and Macross)
Wow, REALLY hard to find data on these two machines, e.g., translations (gonna have to call William I'm thinking), payout patterns, etc... We did figure out the all-important volume and skill settings pretty quick. %The Macross is the original Sankyo model (2010? Not the Fever that came out earlier this year), and Aliens is by Abilit, I want to say 2008. Aliens has an awesome screen, which I'm amazed they don't use to its full ability - it's kind of layered, a semi-transparent "overscreen" that lays over the reels. The introduction is stunning on it. Then they frame the gameplay on the screen around the reels. Too bad it's not in English, though it the intro features all the original Aliens film clips, the gameplay features animations of famous film scenes redone. We did figure out how to get into the menu of Aliens, so can take screen shots for translation.
Macross is just plain FUN... moving parts, reliving early Robotech... actual skill shots in some portions vice preprogrammed hits... a moving opening/closing "curtain" in plastic for major scene changes as you move through the story. Just plain fun! The weird part - we have NOT figured out how to get on the menus of this one. Either there isn't one at all, or it's an interesting button combination.
If anyone has the above and has any tips or add'l info you've hunted down already, would be thrilled to receive!
