Default Diado I picked up this weekend

Here is one I picked up this weekend. Folks were very nice.
This one had about 200 vintage styled balls. I wish i had a tumbler to clean all this vintage balls I am acquiring.

I cannot however date this one at all.

I will get some pictures of the back when I start working on this one.

Nice, colourful machine!! From the pics it looks like the cell is fairly dirty but there doesn't appear to be any water damage. I love that lion in the centrepiece!

Yeah, I don't see a Shoji year on those stickers either.

Odd. I think the date sticker has the number written out in japanese.

I want to say the build year is maybe from 77-78. Might be a year earlier but I think it is 77-78.

Anyways cool machine. Don't see many Diado vintages.

    100 machines and counting...

I really like that one in your avatar. that looks like something from the 40's of 50's maybe? Now that is a good find!

Thanks! That machine is the centerpiece of my vintage Pachinko collection.

Here is a link to the thread I created when I acquired it. There are more pictures and information, if you are interested: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...0s-hokoku.html

Yes & NO. I like unique and original items! However...when something breaks, there is seldom extra parts to fix it! My most extreme case... a machine I bought off of CraigsList that I had never seen the likes of.new pics 002.jpgI love finding, and owning, something of interest to me that "no one" has seen before. It almost worked. Seemed to be missing some parts.Closeups - Discoveries 004.jpg My problem, was the seesaw not resetting for the next jackpot. I'm not even sure the missing parts in the last pic were part of the reset. NO ONE has seen one...so NO ONE can tell me what the parts do, or how it looked before. I was able to make the seesaw reset by adding copper weight.copper fix 001.jpgcopper fix 003.jpg Not as elegant as I wanted...but the machine works!Matsuya sangyo has arrived! More pics here...hopefully you can tell me about one you have seen before...

    I agree with Pachiwall.

    Yes and No.

It is cool because there are very few so not many people have them. But as he showed it is bad because if you need parts they are hard to find.

Though if I'm correct that Diado should have the yellow Mizuho back on it so parts are somewhat easy to find. But don't count on being able to find them as easy as nishijin parts.

    100 machines and counting...
