Default Where to order a replacement ball launching motor Sanyo Road Star

Guess the title says it all! I found that one of the nylon gears was cracked, and causing lockup on the ball launching motor. Tried to glue it together with cryo acetate and zip kicker, to no avail. Then tried to shave down teeth to get good match with the next gear, still with no luck. So I guess it's time for a new motor! The only words on the motor housing were Sanyo Bussan. Anyone got any links to a vendor that sells the motors?

I'm afraid to say that modern pachinko parts aren't readily available..Most pachis are just disposed of in Japan after their short time in the parlors..

Your best bet is to hope to find someone with a parts machine with the same frame as yours..I would suggest posting pictures of your machine and the parts you need here and maybe also making a post in the Members Trade Area about the part you are looking for too..

An alternative is to make a mold from the damaged part and re-create with epoxy. I don't know the tooth count or size... 3d printing might be an option.

Thanks for the welcome! Been a lurker for a few weeks, didn't realize I didn't post a "Howdy!" to everyone. My apologies!

That being said, I fixed the gear! I hope. I couldn't get a good match by shaving the teeth of the gear, so I broke it in half, shaved it down just a hair, scored the insides of the nylon gear and applied brush on loctite glue to both halves. Then I placed the two pieces in the smallest C clamp I had, and waited for it to dry during an episode of Star Trek.

Then I applied a brushing of loctite on each side, and applied a C clamp on the other side, so there were clamps from North, South, East and West, if you will and let set while I soldered in the Radio Shack 271-0280 1k ohm potentiometer (trimmer) for the speaker volume control (which works great, btw!). I re-assembled the motor, and the teeth fit together much better, but not quite perfect. Since I didn't have much of a choice, I finished placing everything, and turned it on.

    Voila! Perfectly functioning machine again!
