Default Mounting A Vintage Nishijin On A Wall With No Cabinet

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well!

I'm selling a Nishijin B model to a good mate whose grandmum had one when she was growing up. She wants to mount it on the wall but doesn't want a cabinet.

I've got great brackets I can use and know that I'll need to mount it to one of the studs because of the weight. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or other threads they can point to that will help me out? I've not mounted one to a wall before and I'm at a bit of a loss in terms of the best way to go about it. Cheers!!

How about using a full length piano hinge, mounted to one side of the machine and into a stud on the wall. Just swing open.

You can do what one guy did to a machine I bought.

He bought 2 of these. T and L Strap Ties

He took and bent the one side sticking out to a 90. And then took the 2 flat sides and bolted them to the wood frame with lag bolts.

Kinda hard to see but you get the idea.

Don't know if that is how I would do it myself though.

    100 machines and counting...

Hahahahaha! Good to see you guys!

I've been insanely busy with my music and writing. Two bands, DJ gigs and productions, plus two books...it's been hectic but a good hectic!

I like that idea! I'd prolly need to mount a piece of wood to the wall as a small spacer, so that there would be room for a ball tray...I need to look into this for my own house!!

I got my mate's about 90% done, I just need one more bracket for the top and it's finished. I'll be sure to post a pic or two. It's a VERY clean look!
