    Default Space Invaders Pachislo

Oh look what i found hiding out as a fruit machine on eBay UK

Looks to me to be very much like a 'Space Invaders' pachislo but the case looks very different to the 'Space Invaders' model that I found that was made by Baltec around 2000, although they both share the same reel strip icons, belly glass font, etc, so I'm wondering if this is a newer model perhaps or just a hybrid of pachi / fruit machine? (It doesn't look like a custom)

Space invaders fruit machine | eBay

Starting price is just £0-99p and no reserve, so could be a could buy for someone

There is no mention of any tokens, or keys or anything in the listing though, and only one pic, a sideways pic, so i have put it right way up for you all

I'm still puzzling over this one, so I'll post a pic of the 'Space Invaders' pachislo made by Baltec to compare with the strange version above.

Perhaps Taito licenced the reel graphics and fonts etc for use by different companies for their games machines.

1st Pic is the one for sale on ebay
2nd pic is the Baltec 2000 pachislo
3rd pic is the Baltec 2000 Reel Strips

That is very odd..4 buttons on top..no start lever..I don't think I see a place for tokens and the top looks kind of weird to me??

I just posted a new Baltec machine and it looks to have the same basic case.. I looked and it looks like they have been using this case since '06/'07..

I checked the list of Baltec machines on Pachinko Vista and didn't see any newer Space Invader slots..

So it's possible we could have an earlier Baltec model from around 2000 put into a later Baltec case?

it looks wrong in all sorts of ways, from the extra buttons to the top that appears to be higher than the case front?

I'd love to know what, if anything, appears on the large screen?

    It's all a mystery

**edit** i just noticed on the listing the brand is given as 'Electrocoin'

I contacted the seller and told them to post more pics for us !

it's possible that they are seeing their own reflection in the "screen that seems to work fine"

okay I've had a reply back:

Apparently it's not on tokens, it's working on 'currency' and you can change the stakes to £35, so it seems it's operating like a UK fruit machine

I'm told the screen shows all possible wins and graphics when you win, also a short video clip in attract mode

I would love to see some more pictures and possibly a video. Any chance of the seller providing those?

was the first thing i asked, I'm awaiting a pic of the insides, but apparently it's not near a power source at the moment so unlikely to get any video

    **edit**

    extra info just received:

"it is originally from japan but got converted into a british machine by electrocoin"

I did get some pics e-mailed to me last night, and I don't think they have been added to the listing yet,

so I'll post them here in case they are of interest to anyone bidding on this machine:

Wow, displaying wins in £'s mega custom. I wonder how much is original.

not really my thing, sort of lost interest when I realised it was no longer functioning as a Japanese pachislo

but it's attracting bids, so it must be of interest to others and there's no reserve, so it looks like it will sell

Good Luck if anyone here is going after it

    WOW!!

    I can't believe this one reached £205!!

Perhaps someone has bought it to put into service as an earner?

Or maybe someone just really really likes the Space Invaders theme?

We have a ton of pawn and storage unit shows here in the US and it's possible that there is a counter intuitive dynamic now working in craigslist, ebay and antique sales of less and incomplete information equating to more interest from treasure hunters and sometimes fatter sales.
