Question Confused about keys for a vintage Nishijin B?

I was searching the forums about where to get a key for my first pachinko. It's a Nishijin B from 1972-73.
Anyway, I'm slightly confused. I read some threads saying you can't get them. Then there are others that say they have keys. There was a couple talking about a master key.

U saw some people take the tumblers out and open with any key that fits. I would like to try and get a key that works with the installed tumblers. How can this be accomplished? If at all. If pics are needed I cantale them tomorrow.

    Cheers.

Original keys for vintage machines are pretty much nonexistent. You can get keys for modern machines, though. In my personal experience, the easiest thing to do is have a locksmith re-key the lock for you.

    Hi Mopar,

Would you be willing to send me the keys you have to try? Then if one works I could get a copy made? I'd pay you back for shipping. If not, I guess Ill pull the lock and see what a locksmith would charge to make a key.

Would that happen to be the 73 model B key that I made. I do remember posting instructions on how to make it. Though the key won't fit the lock directly as it needs to be modified ever so slightly.

Wait those aren't mine. They won't fit a 73 B lock. They are made for 74-76.

Here is the one you need. http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...ijin-lock.html

But like I said the lock needs to be modified for the key to fit.

Need to remove the little tumblers. Got to pull out the lock and then pull off the little plate so you can pull out the pins.

74 and up machines have that. 69-73 don't have the little pins they got plate tumblers at the bottom.
