I reconfigured the prototype at home this afternoon to test the vertical feed concept...the results are that it completely rocks

It feeds flawlessly at 200 bpm and I estimate that 300 and more would be no problem now. I love it when a plan comes together

Ok John, I think you should really get a second opinion on how this ball lifter works. Somebody to give an independent evaluation, if you will.

I was thinking that I would be a perfect chose. You know where I live, just bring it over and I'll let you know what I think.

It should only take about 2 or 3 years for me to get back with you on how well it performs.

With the new reconfigured prototype did it add to the height that the balls can go up?

I tested 48" yesterday which is perfect for a single machine supply, to get more height I would just need to go to a stiffer ball spring, the motor has some torque to spare.

Nice and small. Looks about the same size of the bins I make for my model B machines.

    input speed test

275 bpm no problem. I love this little motor to death however, I am certain we don't want to run it at 50 volts (for very long anyway)

I will look for yet another higher rpm @ 12 vdc gear motor. Is 200 bpm what we want or do we want more ? Thanks!

Mxfaiman, I can't open your attachment, however I just ordered a 350 rpm at 12 volts gear motor.

I am going to have to abandon this entire design, it's just too loud. It's a shame because it gets the job done
