    Default New Ichigin pachinko machine

    Hi everybody,

I recently purchased this New Ichigin pachinko machine, which I am guessing was made in 1978 because the expiry stickers are Showa 54. I can't find any information about it online, except for a couple of brief mentions in these forums. The machine is mechanically sound and work fine, except for the lights. Basically I am appealing to anyone who has any information to share about it.

Welcome to PachiTalk!! Thanks for taking to time to create an account and join our forum.

That is one clean looking machine you have - very colorful, vibrant and complete (not to mention collectible!!). While I mostly work with vintage machines, I have not had the opportunity to acquire or work on one like yours, so I do not have any information to provide. My apologies. I'm sure another member will be along soon to provide you with some data on your machine.

I just wanted to pop in and welcome you to the forum, as well as tell you what a nice looking machine you have.

Again, Welcome to the PachiTalk family!! Please visit us daily and post often.

    Welcome to Pachitalk

    nice looking machine..

hard to see in your pic to be sure..

the upper right has 3 posts.. you should be able to hook a 9 volt battry to the two right post and that should get ya the power for lights.. of course if the wires are cut or bulbs are burnt out ya will have to fix thouse isues first..

    nice machine

if in doubt please post a close up of the upper right corner of the back

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I see the power posts you are talking about Moparformances, the one post appears to be damaged but I think I can easily fix that. The wiring harness appears to be more or less intact, but I'm wondering if the bulb sockets are Japanese and therefore bulbs will be hard to come by. Does anyone have a source for bulbs or has anyone experimented with LED replacements?

I am assuming because there is so little information out there that "New Ichigin" did not last long as a manufacturer or pachinko machines.

The bulbs are a standard size and I get them at Radio Shack. I think you get 3 for under $2.

I use the 7.5 volt bulbs with a 9 volt batter for power. The flash is brighter and he bulbs work just fine.

    to Pachitalk.

New Ichigin machine... I have heard the name before but have never seen one like this as the company was quite small, so not many were made, meaning even less were imported.

As typical with the smaller companies they bought their parts from other suppliers of bigger companies. So I did a quick search of the forum and found a few machines. However, none like yours. The ones I found seemed to share the same parts as Ginza and Mizuho. 2 still relatively small companies but yet big enough to make their own parts. So I did a quick search else where. And found a machine similar to yours. It is a Besta machine. They are also a small company but if I remember right I think they are just a small branch off the kyoraku brand which is fairly large. But that Besta machine is the closest I have found to yours.

So basically you have a machine built by a small company and it is probably one of maybe 5 in the country. (If that)

    Any question just ask.

Thanks for digging up the info about the Besta machine mxfaiman! I would not have figured that out on my own. I am also surprised at how rare it appears to be. The previous owner had it for 30 years, and was only selling because he is moving. If I uncover more information about it I will be sure to post it here.

Here are some better pictures of the machine. I'm sorry if they are slightly blurry as I was hand holding the camera and of course they looked fine on the preview screen. Card Shark, let me know if there was anything in particular you wanted a picture of.

    Ahh.

Now that you have posted a few better pics of the back it seemed more familiar to me. Like I have seen it before; and I have.

The back they bought off a company called Ginza. VP0211-05 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Which was big enough to make their own parts and sold to many other companies.

So your machine is actually more closely related to a Ginza.

No, picking it up tomorrow. It kind of came in package deal with a 74 sankyo. I only took it because it was cheap. But reading a lil about it i guess it may be rare.

I just sold one of these with exactly the same playfield graphics! I also found another one for my son on craigslist.
