Default I'm new and have a machine that don't work

I just got a pachislo machine .I got no led display,I got a little hum from the speaker and thats it.Inside the machine on the what looks like the main bord there is a bunch of led light. When i play with the buttons on the front the lights will light up depending what button is pressed.I did do a reset and nothing.I do see on the main bord with all the led lights there is two particular lights that have me1 and me2 printed by them.I never seen them light up.Does those lights stand for memory?Any help would be great thanks

    Hello

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Are you able to give the name or manufacturer of your pachislo

    or better still pics?

Pics will help identify the machine and help the members to offer more specific trouble shooting advice to you

If you are unsure how to attach pics, this link will help explain How to Post Pictures!!

    Welcome to Pachitalk!

I think pictures would definitely be a big help in trying to diagnose the problem.

my machine is a universal, turn it on and all I got is the lights on in front. No led display the three buttons or bet buttton don't light up .I'm not sure if they are supposed too.Every button I press, a led light will light up on the mother board if thats what we call it lol. There are 3 led lights in the bottom left corner, looks like they indicate voltage 1 for 5v , 1 for 30v and 1 for12v i think .They are all lit up,I don't know what year this machine is but I know it is a universal.I posted pics up,let me know if I need more.

I guess the me1 and me2 are token sensors and at least they are working. Does any of LEDs on mainboard light up when you turn on the machine? Normally each of LED will direct you what your problem is.

yes every button i hit a light will light up,there is only one differant thing and I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way,The two buttons on the left that say 1 and 2 for betting, they are always lit untill I hit 1 or 2 button the led will go out. It's funny every led lights up for each button even when I turn the reels manually I'll get a light on.Thanks

Please don't smash the machine .

A couple of things to check first:

How many tokens are in the hopper of the machine? I have about 1500 in each of my machines but have always kept at least 500 in them at a minimum.

Have you checked all of the connections on the machine? I have heard that they can work themselves loose, especially when transporting the machine.

Have you tried resetting the machine?

    hello

Really sorry I can't help with your technical questions, we are usually pretty good around here with advise on trouble shooting etc, so i wouldn't give up hope

Perhaps not all members with technical knowledge have viewed your thread yet

The only info I can give is that your Pachislo was made by Aruze in 1998, as per our RC link PachiTalk Research Center - Aruze / Eleco / Macy / Mizuho - Hanabi - PachiTalk

you probably already know that, but sometimes it's helpful for me to give a link that may help members offer advice if they have a similar model or by same manufacturer

Your machine is one of the older ones that operates on 1, 2 or 3 tokens per bet (most of the new ones operate on 3 tokens and are Max Bet only)

Again you probably already know that, but it may help other members to assist you

Good Luck with your machine, hopefully someone here can point you in the right direction for trouble shooting

oops forgot to give a link to a post that explains how to reset your machine, sometimes a proper re-set can solve all sorts of issues, here's a link to a helpful post

    error help!!!

when re-setting you must follow the steps carefully, it;s easy to miss something, I'm sure we've all done that at some point with our machines

    and she's back again!!

Here's a link to a manual for old Aruze / Macy / Electracoin or Universal models, I'm not sure if it helps with your machine, but it's worth giving the link just in case it helps at all

Thanks for your replies guys.Ok first,I didn't know you need coins in the hopper ,I don,t have any in it,you think the this could be the problem?I hope so I won't know untill i go home after work.I don't have any tokens to use but I got a pail full of peenies if that would work.I'm a newbie to all this but i learn very fast.I thought about the hopper full of tokens but didn't think it would cause no led disply. The guy that sold this to me said that the machine paid out and needed to be reset with the key,he did not have a key.So when i got it I took the tumblers out of the key switch, now I can use any key.Let me know about the pennies idea if you think it will work just to get it to turn on and if it is the problem then I'll gladly get tokens ,,again thanks for all your input.

I don't think pennies will work due to the size. I think you are going to need tokens, although another member might have an idea for a substitution.

Here is a link to the tokens I usually purchase:

200 used 25mm pachislo tokens from Japan "Las Vegas Bi-metal" | eBay

They work great in my machines and I really like the two-tone look.

Plus the seller is great to deal with.

How does the machine know there is tokens in the hopper?

I think it varies a little by machine but there should a sensor or switch in the hopper.

If I were home instead of at work I would be glad to take some pictures of my machines to see if it would help.
