Yeah and don't forget that you can contact the seller and ask for it to be put n a Buy It Now priceor have the auction end early for an agreed price. I just did that on a non Pachinko/Pachislo item.

This Betty Boop could set a record price

What is the highest price bid on an item
listed with the word pachinko on Ebay?

Thats a good question. I can only bring up the last 30 days but I am sure there are some people out there that keep track of this. I am going to guess it was a LOTR and someone here bought it

I contacted TA on this one and his BIN was $529 until bidding started. He says he has a pretty substantial investment in it and wasn't getting really rich at $529, either. It's a "one of a kind" until September and into Christmas season.

Yeah I see someone of course bid early, but in this case it took away the opportunity for someone to get it at the BIN price. The bidding may go over that BIN price unless someone puts another one up on Ebay soon.

Betty Boop looks to be quite the collectable for sure. Hopefully someone here will win it and put up a review etc on it.

That pachinkopro's guy who was selling machines had a bunch of these and they were going for around $200. I wouldn't pay more than that for it. $529 is a freakin' joke and just goes to show you that TA is already feeling like they own the market.

Maybe it's me cos I don't get it--
Looking at the whole game; playfield, frame, videos etc. the whole thing...
Betty seems a little generic to me.
Like I said, It's probibly just me.

Hmmmmm... I went back to the Betty Boop auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...163667044&rd=1

and now the auction is OVER, but the one bid that had been on it has been cancelled by TA. Now it shows Zero bids and just that the auction is over. (If you look at the bids, you see that he cancelled the bid and stopped the auction.) Guess someone offered him a price he didn't want to refuse.

I read your post on the Betty Boop, I thought you was funning us, It is gone, I will have to put my snipping paint up till next time. Betty would have loved living here with the girls, they could talk over girl things and how I be such a Manly Mans Man.

Yep you snooze you lose on the hot items on Ebay. Since only one dealer ever offered Betty Boop before and it was a dealer that has not been too well received here, Texas had a goldmine in Betty Boop and they knew it or know it.

Just a little inside information for you future Ebay bidders/snipers : It is a known fact that a seller can cancel an auction on Ebay for any reason they want to. What happens after that is up to the seller and the person that made a "under the table" offer. I myself have had success in asking sellers what it would take to take an auction off of Ebay and sell the item to me. This is why Ebay came up with the so called "Best Offer" idea for sellers to offer on their Ebay auctions. Ebay is losing final value fees left in right because of under the table offers. Of course it is against their rules n regs for these under the table transactions

Can you imagine what will happen when Texas puts an StarWars Pachinko up for auction ?

Slotter, I thought you was funning us to get us not to watch the auction. Maybe Lew bought it. He been kind of quiet about it being gone.

Lew you by chance getting a box from TA next week ?

"an inquiring mind needs to know or I will wet my pants"

Well if he puts another one up for auction we'll know that no one purchased it. Personally I can't believe anyone would purchase at that price anyway. I guess some have more money than brains on eBay.

There are a lot of Hard Core Betty Boop Collectors on Ebay, remember that one I made, It sold at a shameful price. and the person buying it did care that it played, just wanted the machine to get the pictures too!
