I'm in Dayton, Ohio...and Need a PowerFlash, so I bid...oops without looking at shipping. Always a bad move! I saw that it is a local pickup only, and they mean it! This is good because it usually translates to low selling price. Buuuut...when I Google mapped it...it is 195 miles away, about 7 hour round trip! Opening price is good, but unknown condition. Looks clean from the limited pics...if all is as they say, could be all good. If bidding goes up, even a small ammount I may have to let it go, due to distance alone. I'll have to con someone to drive me because my license is suspended untill late October. Hopefully I'll be the only bidder, so it will be worth it...or it goes sky high, so I won't feel so bad!

Well at that price it seems like a killer deal. Last one I bought I paid $100 for it and it was missing parts and the chrome was kinda rusty. (but it did work) That one looks to be in near perfect shape from the front. It looks like it was hardly in a parlor as all the white plastic is bright white! My suggestion to you seeing you already got a bid in would be to contact the seller and ask for a picture or two of the back. (if you haven't already )

I wonder where they are actually storing it in the mean time. I hope it isn't in the trunk of that car.

you can always cancel your bid anytime before the auction closes

just copy the item number, go to site map and click on cancel bid, then paste item number in

they ask why you are cancelling, just say error in bidding

I don't plan on cancelling my bid. If it goes up,(hope not) I will let it go. If I am the only bidder,(as often happens when ads are this restrictive) then I'll find a way to swing it.(It is a PowerFlash, after all!) My nephew has a small car and a license. I can con...I mean pay him to drive me there. My friends have junk cars, my sister hates pachinko, and my brother sucks...so I have one option...PAY my nephew enough to make it work! Then buy him a beer and show him how it works! If it gets away...so be it! But I'm not asking anyone to lift the burden!

I believe if a seller removes the item from sale as it is "no longer available" it shows as NO bids

I think this happens when a seller has either advertised it in other places too, or they have done a deal outside of eBay

I got an email from the seller. They apologized for ending the auction early. They were overwhelmed with offers and requests for shipping. They claim that one guy offered $500 if it worked and they would ship it. They turned the offer down because they didn't want to ship it. Yes Max, it is still in the trunk! They are having their son come and get it out and they are going to research it some more. They were surprised that it attracted so much attention. I gave them a little info on it, didn't pump it up too much, and let them know the $500 guy must have wanted it really bad, and was the exception...not the rule. Most importantly, I told them to not let their son hook up 120VAC to anything but the transformer, if it has one. Equally important, I gave them my email address and phone# in case they get stuck with it!

Another email from seller. They thanked me for the information, stated that they couldn't find much info on it online. They stated that in the 1st 24 hours, they had 58 lookers and 9 watchers. (translation=snipers) They plan on putting it up around Christmas time to maximize the amount of money they can get for their nephew, who bought the house that it was in. They offered it to me for $250 and would meet me near Columbus near Ohio State, if I was interested. That shaves about 5 hours round trip off the journey...but still too pricy for me. Especially if it don't work. I may try to negotiate with them...but this deal is likely over.
