    Default 1945 approx single shot

Shame the cel is peeling, certainly has a creepy centre feature. But love the lower pockets. the woodwork looks good too.
    500 yen starting bid.

No idea if complete or not as don't know much about this era.

even if it didn't work correctly, it would make a nice decoration after stripping and refinishing the wood

Don't look like anything obvious missing. Not 100% sure because the win ball path is different, simpler, less anti cheat mechanisms perhaps? Nice machine that truly belongs in my collection!

    Hi Drunkenclam!

Wow what a beautiful find you have there!
Although there are obvious differences, the back of it looks very similar to my Masamura. The only missing part which stands out to me is the payout mechanism. If it were mine I'd pick up some brass sheets at the local hardware store and make my own until an original could be found.

Take a look at the photo of my Masamura. Also see the video, particularly scrubbed to about 1:25 to see its operation. I think that is very fixable... and even if not, it is really a beautiful find.

    Thanks for sharing it :-)

When was the Masamura gauge introduced? This machine, while old, has the Masamura gauge on the play field, so perhaps that would help date it.

Overall, the condition is great! If I bought this one for my collection then I would only display it. I think it's too valuable to be a play toy.

Thanks for sharing. Now I need to wipe the drool off my keyboard.

1948, so that would be the oldest it possibly could be. I would say probably 1949 build year.

I really love the rounded sides on the front. You also gotta love the hand painted pockets. Truly a nice looking machine.

Back appears to be complete as well. Based on comparing it to a similar machine a year or 2 newer. ·ã¥ì¥¢¡¡´õ¾¯¡¡¼êÂǤÁ¡¡¥ª¡¼¥ë10¡¡Çîʪ´Ûµé¡¡¸½¾õÅϤ·¤¿¡£ - Yahoo!¥ª¡¼¥¯¥·¥ç¥ó

I disagree, looks complete to me. Different from my 2 Ginza's and Comicgo in the way the winning ball pushes down the transfer bar, but jackpot looks intact! The brass bar going down at an angle from left to right lifts to drop the jackpot. The door that it releases is a half circle, grey in color behind it...flat on top and round on bottom (covered up by brass bar). It is hinged on the top attached to the jackpot housing which looks like rusty metal above it. I can look at it and see how it works except the winning ball, and how it activates what I'm calling the transfer bar. Usually there are safety hooks that winning ball has to disengage...but none of this is visible, and made differently than any of mine. Beautiful machine! For those who have purchaced from Japan...how much do you think shipping would be if it weighed 25lbs? I just put Comicgo...very similar style and era, then added 5lbs for packing.

    No Clue.

I tried to calculate it myself through UPS, but I think I messed up something. Cheapest price it showed was $635.

Like I said, I think I messed up something. I would expect it to be around $250-300.

lets' see, if i've got this right then:

    £

    21,800 JPY = 176.61 GBP

    Exchange rate: 0.008101
    Rate valid as of: 16/8/2012

    $

    21,800 JPY = 276.86 USD
    Exchange rate: 0.012700
    Rate valid as of: 16/8/2012

I don't think that's too bad a price, obviously the shipping & associated fees would make it less attractive to any overseas buyers, but the ending price of the pachinko itself seems very reasonable to me

Where else could you own something this interesting, authentic of this era with such traditional images for under £200 GBP?

Worth it alone just as a collectors display piece I reckon

So did anyone here get tempted enough to really go for it??

No from me. It didn't appeal to me. Plus I try not to spend over ¥10,000 incase it's a complete junk.Alot cheaper than the ¥100,000 one

I consider $276 a bargain for such an old and rare machine! I would LOVE to be able to have one like that! I never even tried to learn the YJA learning curve, because the shipping scared me!
