    Default Ball Release???

This is just a simple problem that I can't figure out. I received my Daiichi Tom and Jerry pachinko the other day and got a chance to test it out last night. Excellent machine!!! When I was done, I was looking all around the back and for the life of me, I can't find the ball release mechanism! It's not the same as my Sammy or Bisty machines.

Anyone know how to release the balls from the hopper in a Daiichi Tom and Jerry machine???

    Thanks in advance!!!

Can you post a couple of close up pictures of the back of the machine? Hopefully we can help locate it with those.

Here's some photos. In the second one, there's a red "button/knob." I've pushed it, held it in and spun it and nothing happens. I'm stumped! (Now that I think about it, I probably should have just shot Frank at Akimono a message since that's where I bought the machine. Lol! I tend to do things backwards at times.)

I don't know this frame and don't have any Daiichi machines to compare with, but I do have a manual for the X-Gear frame and according to my limited Japanese reading ability it appears that there is a 'ball dump button' on the payout control board.

You can just see it in the bottom left corner of your second picture, just below the label that has the word 'Chip' on it.

I'm not sure how it operates as the description text is too complicated for my brain to translate when I've just worken up. So try pressing it, holding it down or turning the power on with it pressed and see what happens.

    Yup! That's it!

What seems to have happened is that I hit a Fever round the other night and it was paying out fine. It then seemed to have finished the payout, so I figured it was over. When I looked at it again last night, I had a ball jam in the upper trough. I fixed that and the machine went nuts paying off the rest of the fever. After it finished, I pressed the black button and, sure enough, the ball dump worked. When I pressed it the other night, it didn't do anything, but with the ball jam, it probably thought the machine was empty.

All is fine! Balls released last night and now my machine is empty.

    Thanks all for the help!!!

Since the machine released the balls and all is well, I'll close this thread now.
