    Default First Pachinko

Hi everyone..obviously i'm new to Pachitalk and i'm looking for some help identifying my machine..i've search the web and it led me here..i've read the posts and checked out the youtube vids but i'm still alittle confused...here's what i have on this machine..there is a stamp on the back that says Target Abroad Inc. Made in Japan..Reconditioned & distributed in USA...there is a sticker on the back that says NISHIJIN M 11 PASSED the rest is in Japanese..on the front top left of the playfield is a small sticker all in Japanese except 1194..in the lower right corner of the playfield is a sticker with two shiny silver (stickers?) one rectangle..one oval..they are mostly unreadable...there is a green owl head in the center..on the case by the jackpot tray in small print is KAMOME and in large cursive NISHIJIN..it has a 6 volt converter that plugs into 110 and looks like it came with the reconditioning..it has several hundred balls that are marked with Japanese characters..the guy i got the machine from said he bought it from montgomery wards in 1960 but everything i've found indicates the 70's..can anyone help me identify and date my machine..thanks

    Hello

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

Are you able to post a pic of the back of your pachinko?

The back will show the workings and help the members identify which 'type' your pachinko is (from the front the case looks like my model A but I'm not too technical with Vintages)

also the members will probably ask for a close up of the centre feature as we find these very interesting

Regarding dating, one of your stickers on the cell front, usually at the bottom of the play-field I think, will have some small English numbers (like 47, 49 or 51, etc) hidden amongst the Japanese characters, if you can give these numbers or better still a close up pic of that sticker, then the members will be able to date your pachinko for you

    to Pachitalk

Looks like you have a model B Nishijin Shiroi-Kamome (means white seagull in japanese). Build year is 1972. However based on your machine we can't get an exact date as I can already see the date sticker is missing. Here is another machine from the same year. 1972 Royalty - VP0164 - a set on Flickr

As for the theme on yours that is up to you to decide as there aren't any specifically. Though yours is pretty plain so it might be a challenge to come up with one.

Also if you post a pic of the back we can tell you if anything is missing.

Any further questions just ask. And once again welcome to PT.

You don't need power to play the machine as it is all mechanical. The power only works the lights. And that runs on 9V. So make sure you use a power adapter or a 9v battery. If I'm correct power should go to orange and white posts. + or - doesn't matter which side.

Balls aren't suppose to come from the rear tray to the front tray. Unless you hit a jackpot. If that is the case you might need to buy more balls for the machine. You should have minimum of 500.

Check out this video made by one of our members. It will help you to understand the operation of the machine and answer a lot of your questions.

Build year of 1972. The background now looking at it is seagulls flying through clouds. So I would just call the theme Shiroi-Kamome or White Seagull.
