Congratulations!!! I won't deny that I'm jealous, but I'm so happy for you! It's always so cool to hear someone winning a nice chunk of change like that.

after sleeping on it I decided to mail the tickets in
about 100 mile round trip to lotto office, who knows how long a wait, plus chance of getting lost, mugged etc
I make copies of everything, and mailed out the tickets seperately, registered mail with full value insurance for $41.90
I should get the checks next week

I hope the IRS doesn't read this. By the way, I would only claim one at a time, I think the reporting limit to the IRS is 10K for gambling proceeds, I may be wrong.

I'm retired with no income
I mailed out the tickets seperately, no taxes taken out of $5,000.00 winners
even if i did file income taxes I wouldn't have to pay anything for taxes

Be sure to deposit them separately. I am pretty sure a depsit $10,000 and requires a form for the IRS.

i think that refers to cash deposits or withdrawals, not checks
