Hello there. I created a account just now so I could put your curiosities to rest. I am the one who ended up snagging this machine. The problem? None. The guy got it as a gift and I don't think he knew how to work it. It was magically working again when I came to pick it up. I think he didn't understand the jackpot payout tray needed to be filled. He put some in the top by mistake when showing me and was surprised that it functioned properly. The kicker does seem like it has a slight contact problem and sometimes needs a gentle jiggle but nothing some contact cleaner can't fix. It came with a ziploc of several hundreds of balls and even the original key! He was slightly hesitant to sell it after it worked but he ended up giving it to me for the $25.

Oh it definitely is not lonely. I already have a Kyoraku machine from the early 80's (another steal for $22) plus a whole game room. It is currently playing nice next to my slot machine.

Thank you everyone for the warm invite! I am familiar with the vintage pachinko machines but this is my first modern machine. I'm having troubles understanding the rules in video modes. I also don't know what the 2 black buttons under the playfield do. There is Japanese writing next to the buttons but I sadly do not know the language. Can anyone provide some info on what these buttons are for or rules for video modes? I can post pictures if it helps.
