I want... Though forget it I refuse to pay $2000 for that.

This might be one of the only moderns that I might want.

    100 machines and counting...

Wow! That is one of our machines from the last shipment. I noticed it has the same transformer and one of our green packing peanuts still in the frame (and I also double checked the address to make sure). Looks like he is trying to make a quick buck.

I'd say that maybe the guy put one too many "9"s on the price, but after reading Frank's comment, I will doubt that. I've heard of flipping a game for a profit, but this one is ridiculous!

Then again, the description shows how sharp this seller is: "Pachinko is Japan's equivalent to a slot machine in the United States." Um, I thought pachislo was the Japanese equivalent to a US slot machine??? Lol!

Based on his eBay name. It appears he caters to Ghostbusters fans. Who knows, maybe he will find a diehard fan that doesn't realize the market value of the machine. With a make offer option he may just turn a profit on the machine. Not knowing what he actually paid for it.

If some huge Ghostbusters fan does a search for Ghostbusters rather than pachinko they may make a move on the machine without seeing what other machines are going for. I would imagine if they made an offer around $1000, the seller would make a pretty good profit and the buyer's perception would be that they got it at half price.

Dangerous ground. We might scare off any new members, But I hope someone would do a bit of research before spending that kind of money and either find Frank's website or end up here. None of us like to see people ripped off. Some may think the seller is a opportunist, trying to make a quick buck, But it's the buyer you should be thinking about.

Hey Frank. Have you ever though about putting your own serial number on machines you sell. That way if/when they get sold on, there is a marker of who imported it and it might get you additional business from a future buyer who buys one and sees the name.

That's a great idea about putting the serial number and contact information on the machines.

I agree that I would hate to see someone way over-pay for a machine. Hopefully someone who is interested in that one will find this site or do some research on their own. I never wish anyone ill will for trying to earn a living, however their pricing on that machine is over the top.

The ONLY Pachi I ever have purchased and NOT tried to Talk down the cost is my Harley Davidson PachiSlo. I
Spent a $$$ Cost for it but also spent 2 years looking for one.

I ride (when I can) with a local Biker Club. (don't own a Harley but it is a V Twin) One of the Harley Riders came
over to see the machine after I told him about it. He told his (Other) Harley Club he rides with. The Club offered
me 3 X's what I paid for it. They wanted to put it in their Club's building.

I told them Sorry but NO. . .

I've actually debated this but I have chosen not to for a couple of reasons. One being that I know clients want them to maintain their value so we try to keep them as close to their original state as possible. Another reason is for the majority of machines we know they are going to private homes and we aren't too concerned about resale. A few times it has happened, but usually we can tell based on who we are selling (usually if another vendor buys one for us to directly ship to a client we put our cards in to make sure they know who it is really from). Maybe in the future we will switch, but right now it hasn't been a big enough problem to worry about.

If you all disagree let me know cause it wouldn't be very difficult to do on our side.

I think people do high BINs with a make an offer in hopes of getting a high offer rather than thinking they will get the BIN price..

So if a Ghostbusters fan thinks this is worth $2000 and makes what they thinks is a lowball offer of 'just' $1000 then the seller makes a lot and the buyer thinks they got a deal.. Does that make sense??

Well I would think ANYBODY that would want one would do a little homework and see that it can be had for a LOT less...
NOT cheap as its still up there in price as far as moderns go but still... I remember how long it too the Matrix to come to a level where
I Could afford it. Hopefully this one shall follow the same route!
